Douglas
Edwards
Educated at the Ontario College of Art between 1974 and 1979, and in oof campus studies in Florence, Italy from 1978 to 1979, Douglas has amassed a deep love and respect for the arts. His work is reminiscent of Monet in its free brush work and careful juxtapositioning of lively colours, which allow the eye to blend the hues optically rather than have them premixed on a pallet. Douglas paints the Ontario landscapes with a familliarity of an old friend.
